Cotopaxi Agua Water Bottle Review

By: Molly Guernsey

After receiving, testing, and loving Cotopaxi's daypack backpack, I was excited to test out another of their products! If you have read my other blogs on Explorer Gear, you will see that I love bright colors! Again, Cotopaxi didn't let me down in that area! My water bottle is teal, but they also have colors like blue, plum, and yellow! All are such fun and vibrant options!

One of the first times I used my Cotopaxi Agua Water Bottle was this past summer at the pool. It was such a hot day and it was refreshing to be able to have my water stay cold all day. I also accidentally dropped it on the concrete a few times that day and it remained dentless!

I also took this bottle camping and it was so convenient to have the handle on the lid to be able to hook onto my backpack with a carabiner without worrying that it could fall out.

Cotopaxi has this water bottle in three different sizes. 500mL, 750mL, and 1000mL. Mine is 750mL and I found it perfect for day hikes and a few hour long activities. For a weekend camping trip, the 1000mL bottle might have been better so that I could go a longer time without needing to refill it. The 500mL bottle seems like it would be perfect for a child. Small enough that they can carry it on their own, but big enough that they can easily stay hydrated through the day.

Cons

1. Is not dishwasher safe

2. Pricey- $25, $30, $35 respectively for the three sizes of bottles

Pros

1. The powder-coated matte finish prevents sweating

2. Doesn't dent easily

3. Double layered bottle to keep cold drinks cold for 24 hours and hot drinks hot for 12 hours

4. Good design and wide range of functionality

Clearly the good outweighs the bad in the case of this water bottle. If you are a water bottle junky, definitely check this product out! You won't be disappointed!
