Cotopaxi Agua Water Bottle Review

By: Molly Guernsey

After receiving, testing, and loving Cotopaxi's daypack backpack, I was excited to test out another of their products! If you've read my other blogs on Explorer Gear, you'll know that I love bright colors. Again, Cotopaxi didn't let me down in that area! My water bottle is teal, but they also have colors like blue, plum, and yellow--all fun and vibrant options!

One of the first times I used my Cotopaxi Agua Water Bottle was this past summer at the pool. The sweltering weather made me all the more grateful for the insulating design of the bottle--it stayed refreshingly cold all day. The bottle itself is also very durable--I dropped it on the concrete a few times that day (by accident, of course) and it remained dentless!

Later, I took this bottle with me when I went camping, to really test it out on the trail. The Cotopaxi designers definitely have the active user in mind--the lid's handle can hook to a carabiner for secure, worry-free transportation. This feature made the water bottle a convenient hydration solution for the whole day.

Cotopaxi has this water bottle in three different sizes: 500mL, 750mL, and 1000mL. Mine is 750mL, and I found it perfect for day hikes and a few hour long activities. For a weekend camping trip, the 1000mL bottle might have been better; the increased volume would allow for a longer time between refills. The 500mL bottle seems like the perfect size for a child--small enough that they can carry it on their own, but big enough that they can easily stay hydrated through the day.
