EnerPlex Jumpr Slate 5K Review
By: Collin Guernsey
The Enerplex Jumpr Slate 5k came in the mail and I was excited. I have always looked at getting a portable charger, but re-thought every time. This skinny little charger came in the nick of time for a weekend camping trip. For that weekend, I would be without power and really needed a method of keeping my phone charged.
One of the best aspects of the Jumpr Slate 5k is the design of it. Many portable chargers are like candy bars, they are thick and they are heavy. The Jumpr blows those out of the water. It is thin, light, and well built. There is a built in charger on it, they make one version for iPhones with a lightning plug and also one version with a Micro-USB tether. The design also includes a USB connection and a little button for seeing how much charge you have left. The left side of the battery also has holes for binders and other connections. College students, professors, and businessmen, you might want to check this out! Ultimately, the design is the winner in this little guy.
The charging capabilities are also impressive. The device was able to charge my iPhone, iPad, and GoPro. It fully charged my GoPro and topped off the iPad and fully charged the iPhone in one charge. Another great aspect of this Jumpr Slate is that it can be re-charged with sunlight! We used the EnerPlex Kickr IV to make sure it was always ready for the next charge.
Overall this battery does what it was meant to do. It offers you a means of charging for an extended amount of time and is designed well. My suggestion is to pair it with EnerPlex's Kickr IV solar charger for optimal usage. What are your thoughts on the Jumpr Slate 5k?
I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.
