Acorn Slipper Socks | For days when you want both...
Explorations can range from extended hiking and camping trips to short term weekend camping trips. Those long term explorations don't lend themselves to anything cushy. However, sometimes those short term ones do. That is where Acorn Slipper Socks come into play.
Construction and Design
The construction of these Acorn slipper socks is top notch, they are strong and durable and well made, with quality materials. When receiving slipper socks, one of the most important pieces is that they can function well as an in between. They need to be able to be comfortable socks and functional slippers. Their build does not hinder their activity.
The design is also quite good, though the way that the bottom of the sock is stitched to the leather feels a bit awkward as you begin wearing them first. The material is comfortable and very warm, in addition to that having a slipper sock combo is almost the best of both worlds, a long tube of material so your leg is warm and a sturdy slipper bottom so you can walk around with a bit more support!
The Acorn Slipper Sock has a high level of usability in addition to a quality construction. These slipper socks are built to be two things. Comfortable and durable, they succeed at both of these missions quite well especially for the price point of $49.50. They are comfortable with a thick sole that wraps your foot with warmth. They also fold down and easily fit into a backpack or weekender bag for easy travel.
One thing I wasn't so keen on is how the bottom of the slipper connected with the sock part of the slipper, I could feel it a bit on the inside and in certain positions as I walked around, not the most comfy.
Explorer Gear Rating
Overall I give these slipper socks a 3.5 out of 5. They are comfortable, easily store-able on an exploration and they offer the comfort and warmth that a combined slipper and sock should.
